VEF Rapid Response Team
Thank you for your interest in joining our rapid response team. We are looking for motivated citizens who will swing into action to help us promote educational freedom in Virginia.
Working with Delegate Marie March (R), we have introduced the most comprehensive School Choice legislation in the country: House Bill 1396.
This legislation creates a generous Education Savings Account program and expands the Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credit program.
Unlike most other School Choice bills that have been passed in other states, this one includes current homeschoolers and private school students.
But it will fail without your support.
Delegate March won’t shy away from a fight, and she knows how important this issue is for Virginians all around the state. She has pledged to fight for real Educational Choice in Virginia.
Too often what the voters really want ends up watered down or shelved by politicians who don’t want true School Choice. And unless a bill is voted on, up or down, the politicians can hide their support for the government monopoly on education
Politics as usual will not make School Choice a reality in Virginia. Only by forcing roll-call votes will we know if our representatives are truly representing us.
When a politician balks at voting on the record, you know it’s because he or she is busy hiding their support for the government school system as it now exists in Virginia.
Only you can force politicians to act and make House Bill 1396 law—making Virginia the School Choice leader in the Nation.
Phone calls, emails, letters, and especially visits to their offices are some of the most effective ways you can help us in our School Choice fight.
Oftentimes, the fight is time-sensitive. We may only get very short notice regarding actions being taken on HB 1396, and we will need to act fast.
If you sign up to join the Rapid Response Team, it means you are pledging to make a phone call or send an email or, if you are feeling adventurous, to provide a public statement in person to legislators in Richmond.
VEF will help you by providing the necessary contact information for the legislators as well as the message we need you to send them. We just need you to respond quickly when called upon.

It is time that Richmond works for us, not the teachers unions and not the bureaucrats buried in the bowels of the capitol, and certainly not the fringe special interests.
They are our children and grandchildren . . . it is our tax dollars . . . it can only morally be OUR CHOICE!
